Our Coalition
A coalition is what happens when shared priorities meet shared power.
Black Horizons Coalition organizes Black communities around a shared agenda, then translates that agenda into the political, electoral, and policy outcomes that move Black families from surviving to thriving.

We listen first, and we organize where people already are.
Coalition work happens in living rooms, church basements, barbershops, and school cafeterias. We connect what we hear to the public decisions that shape daily life, and we build the relationships that keep that connection strong between elections.
What we hold ourselves to.
Community first
The agenda starts with what Black families say they need, not with what an organization decides is winnable.
Power, not just presence
Being heard is not the same as shaping outcomes. We organize for durable, collective influence.
Across generations
Elders, parents, young organizers, and students build the same horizon together.
Measurable change
We hold ourselves to outcomes families can feel: representation, resources, stability, and freedom.
